How to be focused. Concentration mechanism is explained here.

How to concentrate on work? How to focus on study? How our senses work? Concentration explained here?

let's start from the eyes. We have eyes. So the question is Do eyes really see? If the brain center is taken away and eyes will still be there, eyelids will still be there, complete retina will be still there. The complete image is forming on the retina but you not able to see anything. Why?

Because the mind center which sees is not there. From this, we understand that our eyes are only like instruments not the organ of vision,

Is the real organ of vision is mind center(vision cortex) which is in our head?

Some people keep their eyes open while sleeping. So here light is coming through the eyes lens, forming an image on the retina, and the nerve center is still there but the sleeping person is not watching.

It means there is one more thing which should be there. What is that? The answer is mind. Which should connect the brain center of vision and other instruments.

So to see anything eyes, the nerve center should be connected by the mind. For every experience and reaction, outside instruments, the organ(nerve center), and the third one mind are required. so our mind is always attached to the other two.

What after mind?

The mind takes the impression generated with these two further in and presents it in front of deterministic faculty called buddhi. Buddhi reacts to it. Here the idea of egoism flashes. Then a mixture of action and reaction presented in front of purush-the soul. Then the soul experiences the mixture as an object.

All five senses, mind, deterministic faculty, and ego grouped together called internal instruments. All these processes happen in mind-stuff called Chitta. The wave of thoughts in Chitta is called Vrittis. Understand it as Chitta is sea and whirlpool are Vrittis. Our mind is always attached to other internal instruments.

Now, what are thoughts?

Thought is also a force similar to gravitation or repulsion. This limited force is absorbed from the infinite storehouse of nature. Our chitta takes hold of it and sends it out as in the form of thoughts.

How do we get this force?

We get this force in the form of food from nature. Our body gets power or force from the food and sends thoughts outside.

So here we had to find out that the mind is not conscious but it seems to be conscious because the intelligent soul behind it is conscious. The mind is the only instrument through which we catch the outside world.

The outside materialist world only indicates the mind or it is a blow of suggestions taken to mind and reactions come after presenting it to other internal instruments.

Why we are not able to see true self?

Let's understand this as a lake as chitta. small whirlpool or ripple as vrittis are there on the surface of the lake. Our mind is working instruments on our vrittis, and the bottom of the lake is as a true self.

so only we are able to see the bottom of the lake when the water in the lake is relaxed, calmed, and cleared with no ripples or subsided.

Our mind always busy on working on the vrittis emerging like waves or whirlpool in our chitta. and makes us unable to find ourselves who we are.

We have let our mind as horses which is always working on impressions that we get through our senses from the outside world. So we have to get conscious then we will not let our mind run like a fickle monkey.

Is it possible to connect our mind with single internal instruments and de-attach from others?

The answer is yes, We can do meditation and yoga by which we are able to calm our vrittis and apply our mind to any specific work which we want that's how we are able to concentrate ourselves on a specific work.

To calm ourselves we have to stop this vrittis in chit. and let the chitt come to its purely natural state but senses make it uncalm by allowing impression from the outer world. We have to make it internal from external so that impression stops and vrittis are reduces. To do this first step is Yoga. Yoga is the only way to make chitta in its proper course.
